The forestry industry requires equipment able to accomplish a variety of complicated tasks and Hitachi provides just the sort of machines that can handle these duties.

A forestry machine is required firstly, to create paths enabling access to the site. The entire process of grabbing, cutting, shearing, measuring, chopping, dragging and loading wood requires highly specialized and reliable equipment for this type of work. Hitachi has machines to provide for each required function.

Over the past ten years, Hitachi has developed and specially engineered six models of base machine for the forestry industry. These being the Zaxis 210L/225URL/240L/280L/350L & 380L. Whilst standard features differ from model to model, the following special features have been incorporated :
