Super Long Fronts Supersede All - Zaxis Excavators Excel in Dubai

14 Jul, 2008

The Crown Prince of Dubai had a vision. Today, 50 Hitachi construction earthmovers are making it come true. Zaxis Excavators are helping to create The Dubai Palm Islands, a multi-billion dollar Arabian Paradise, constructed in the form of three colossal, floating palm trees.

The equipment line-up to construct the artificial islands hosts a variety of Hitachi machinery including ZX870s with Super Long Fronts. The selected Orange team is working together reclaiming sand, calcarenite and limestone off the coast of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, UAE. Palm Jebel Ali is the second of the three manmade palm-shaped islands, soon to be, the grandest tourist destination ever built in the world.

The Arabian bedrock is overwhelmed by this 24/7, non-stop project. Palm Jebel Ali is the perfect opportunity for ZX870s to show-off their advanced hydraulic technology and ultimate digging force. The new engines and hydraulic systems were designed to yield high production with low fuel consumption. The Zaxis 800s are unbeatable in Dubai’s extreme, working conditions.

At temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius combined with intense dust and salt water/air corrosive conditions, the ZX870 with its Super Long Front is supreme. Its 28 meter Super Long Front has the ability to grade the slope and reshape the seabed more than 12 meters below the water’s surface. The reconfigured earth will be the ultimate foundation for a multitude of restaurants, shopping malls, hotels, water homes, villas, and a futuristic water theme park.

With a selection of all-welded, box-section designed booms and arms available, Zaxis Excavators will excel and soon be the number one choice of equipment to aid in Dubai’s magnificence.
