HCM Receives VIP Guest The Power of 3

Director/Executive Officer, Mr. Shungo Dazai, warmly welcomes Mr. Abdullatif M. Jamal Rashid, the Minister of Water Resources of Iraq.

A triangle is a perfect, three-sided figure stronger than all others. In the Iraqi construction world, there is another perfect three. It consists of Hitachi Construction Machinery, Savanna Group and the Ministry of Water Resources of Iraq. These three powerhouses have joined forces producing accomplishments that are attracting worldwide attention.

On November 11, 2009 a gathering to honor a unique combination of integrity and know-how met at the Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. HCM extended a VIP hosted invitation as a token of appreciation to Mr. Abdullatif M. Jamal Rashid, the Minister of Water Resources of Iraq. Hitachi executives were delighted when the Minister decided to travel a very long distance for this short, memorable visit.

The Ministry of Water Resources (MOWR) improves communities by providing a better way of life to Iraqi citizens. To date the MOWR has Hitachi ZX240LC-18 H18/Super Long, MA200, ZX200LC-3F/Standard Machine, and ZX200LC-3F H15/Super Long, Hydraulic Excavators, and Marsh Excavators hard at work on many Iraqi restructuring projects.

Savanna Group CEO/Hitachi dealer for Iraq, Mr. Basim H. Zgayir also traveled far to honor Mr. Rashid and the MOWR. Savanna Group is at the core of the reconstruction and supplementation of Iraq. Mr Zgayir's efforts ensure all Savanna Group machinery fulfills the needs and requirements of the contracted projects operated and controlled by Iraqi governmental ministries. The collaborative efforts of MOWR and Savanna Group put Hitachi MA200 to work moving earth for Al Swaib Farm in Basrah Province. The marsh amphibious regulates and stabilizes marsh growth in strategic tributaries of the Tigris-Euphrates River System.

Mr. Rashid tours the Tsuchiura factory and the Hitachi Naka factory.

Mr. Rashid's visit included a tour of the Tsuchiura factory and the Hitachi Naka factory. It was evident these leaders make every facet of business a priority for successful relations, from factory production to quality assurance to local engineer training. Collaborative hard work is the valued common factor, and Mr. Rashid's visit strengthened bonds between three great giants.

Hitachi Construction Machinery has dominated the exporting of construction equipment to Iraq for well over 30 years. Hitachi and Savanna Group will surely aid Mr. Rashid in optimizing the utilization of all water resources for the nation. This VIP visit proved to be a summit for three dynamic forces to confirm their commitment, their insights, and their strategies for the successful restoration and development of Iraq.
