Earth work of the Ejere- Gobensa site excavated by ZX350H-3
Hagbes, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Supplied ZX350H-3 and ZX470H-3 Excavators to Yencomad for heavy-duty excavation projects. The medium and large size excavators are doing earth-moving work on the following two road construction projects under the Government of Ethiopia Road Sector Development Program (RSDP): Modjo-Arerti-Gobensa DBST (Double Bitumen Surface) Road Project and Endeto-Gasera Gravel Road Project. Modjo-Arerti-Gobensa is a Trunk Road Upgrading Project that runs 94km by 7m wide with a 1.5m corridor on both sides. Endeto-Gasera Project is the upgrading of a trunk road sector running 60km. Earthwork at this site includes massive excavating of rocky mountain terrain.

The Common Rail Type Fuel Injection System of ZX470H-3 drives an integrated fuel pump at an ultrahigh pressure thus enabling optimum combustion to generate mega horsepower, resulting in reduced particulate matter and fuel consumption. This high power system yields a 4% increase in output vs. conventional models. The new clean engine, 260 kW (349 HP) / 1 800 min-1 complies with the emission regulations Tier 3 in US (EPA) and EU Stage III, and can reduce fuel costs via electronic control. The full track guards provide the needed durability when excavating the rocky mountain terrain of the Endeto-Gasera Project. The rocky mountain terrain of the Endeto-Gasera Project needed the increased digging force of ZX470H-3. Compared to the competition, ZX470H-3 with its strengthened, reshaped H-Bucket has 7% more bucket digging force and 8% more arm digging force in power boost mode than conventional models. The full track guards reduce wear and damage protecting track links and lower rollers, extremely important for these types of heavy-duty applications. There is dramatic improvement in the durability and extended service life of the ZAXIS-3 series vs. the conventional ZAXIS370MTH.
