Overview
ZX240-3 Excavators are the chosen machines used for Sennar Sugar Factory’s seasonal irrigation project.
TARA International Company, Sudan - Supplied ZX240-3 Excavators to Sennar Sugar Factory located in Blue Nile one of the 26 states of Sudan. ZX240-3 rids sugar field irrigation canals of debris and excess wet/dry clay. Extending from the main sugar factory canals, the sub irrigation canals provide drainage for flood rainwater allowing needed water to reach neighboring farms and livestock. Sugar production started in Sudan in the 60’s, and today Sudan’s sugar production totals approximately 850,000 metric tons per year. Sennar Sugar Factory currently produces over 100,000 tons of sugar a year and will be the future location for Sudan’s first ethanol production factory. ZX240-3 Excavators are the chosen machines used for Sennar Sugar Factory’s seasonal irrigation project.

TARA’s field service team is always available for onsite repairs. We are proud to say the Sennar Sugar Factory has not reported any technical problems with ZX240-3.

Sennar Sugar Factory is one of the five main sugar factories in Sudan and many farmers rely on our factory’s irrigation system. The sub canals redirect precious water to our Sudanese neighbors providing for their crops and livestock. The excess rainwater is vital to the farmers and local factory owners. Our sub canals must be seasonally cleared of grass, debris and also dry and wet clay. It is crucial that our sugar fields maintain proper irrigation throughout the year. ZX240-3 is excavating up to 80 cubic meters an hour with no reported technical problems. The fuel consumption is at 18.7 liters an hour. We are very pleased with the performance of ZX240-3 and the overall customer service TARA International has shown us.
