ZAXIS330LC Scrap Handling Machine

Qingdao Iron & Steel Group Company (hereinafter Qingdao Steel) scrap division is in charge of purchasing scrap from all around China, and stock in their scrap yard as raw material for steel product. Recently steel demand in China is increasing rapidly. Therefore Qingdao Steel needs machine(s) that can handle more scrap at low operating cost.
Customer Needs
Before purchasing Hitachi scrap handling machine, Qingdao Steel was using gantry crane (with electrical magnet) to handle scrap at their yard. However both availability & job efficiency are low. Recently steel demand in China is increasing rapidly, and by using this crane Qingdao steel hardly satisfy customer demand. Therefore Qingdao steel was considering some new scrap handling machine to solve their situations.
Why Hitachi
- Qingdao Steel was using two (2) units of Hitachi excavators since year 2000. From its excellent performance Qingdao Steel believed Hitachi provides high quality equipment
- Specialized machine can work much more efficiently & stable.

We are very satisfied with these two (2) units of ZAXIS330LC scrap handling machine, from their excellent performance & high job efficiency. Even at middle range of power, it can handle 150 to 200 tons of scrap in an hour. This is three time as much as the gantry crane we were using. Also operating cost for these machines are half of the gantry crane.
According to their performance, Hitachi scrap handling machines are highly appraised by Qingdao Steel including their board chairman, and Qingdao Steel is willing to introduce their experience of using Hitachi scrap handling machine to other customers.
Qingdao Steel is planning to open a new scrap stockyard, and will use Hitachi scrap handling machine.
