Improving CSR activity information disclosure on the website
We disclose the information about our group CSR activities in the CSR pages on our website. We have presented our CSR report in such a way as to allow the various stakeholders to express their opinions and impression since fiscal 2007. We have also presented our social contribution activities such as the development of demining equipment. We started up CSR Activity News in September 2008, and this enabled us to receive the opinions and impressions of stakeholders more promptly than before. Since October, we have presented the policies and systems along with activity information, in accordance with our CSR activity themes, namely:(1) CSR management, (2) corporate governance, (3) compliance, (4) risk management, (5) product quality and safety, (6) customer satisfaction, (7) information security, (8) personal information protection, (9) information disclosure and communications, (10) employee satisfaction, (11) employment, (12) occupational safety and health, (13) social contribution activities, (14) environmental conservation, and (15) business partners. In addition, we have presented the above contents on the global website since March 31, 2009.
As a result of improving CSR activity information disclosure on the website as stated above, our CSR pages are viewed more than ten thousand times a month, meaning that 120,000 people read them in one year, although this figure is only one percent of the total number of views of our website that amount to about a million a month. In the seven months from September to March in fiscal 2008, twenty opinions and impressions (about 0.03% of the total views) were posted in connection with CSR report and CSR Activity News. Although this number is not large, the opinions and impressions mainly concerned the development of the demining equipment, and so this encouraged the staff involved in this work. We have also received some complaints, including complaints about the remodeling of wheeled hydraulic excavators, which fails to comply with the safety standards. We will make the most of viewers' sincere opinions and impressions and reflect them in our CSR activities.
