Summer party at Osaka factory

The Osaka factory of Hitachi Construction Machinery Tierra, which manufactures components for mini excavators, held its 2nd summer party on Wednesday, September 10, 2008.

The party was held in the canteen, as was the case with the previous year's summer party, and included greetings from managers, toasts, introductions of new employees, a presentation of poetry written by Matsuo Basho, bingo and a lottery. The employees were over the moon with the take-away pizzas, the very best appetizers, sushi and of course, the draft beer (drink as much as you like) that was available on tap. The party this year was a powered-up version of the party previous year. The highlight of the party was bingo, which caused a lot of excitement. So many players reached the point of needing just one more number to win, but lots of numbers were called before the first shout of "Bingo!", which thrilled everybody. After the first person shouted "Bingo!", many other people soon followed, and prizes were all gone quickly.

Bingo. Which number comes next?

There was lottery before the ending of the party. The summer party promoted friendship between the employees, including the sales division staff, who usually have little chance to meet the non-sales staff.
