Contributing to local communities by carrying out a wide range of activities
Okinawa Hitachi Construction Machinery started participating in events held by the Hitachi Group, such as cleaning, and donating blood, from fiscal 2006, as a member of the Hitachi Group. In fiscal 2008, as a member of the Hitachi Group, they donated money to the Okinawa Amateur Sports Association. The money was intended to assist high school students to have special training to prepare for the Inter High School Championships that will be held in Okinawa in 2010.
They are now a sponsor of the annual Nago Festival. They have also invited Mr. Amemiya, the president of Yamanashi Hitachi Construction Machinery, to present a speech on demining to children at local elementary and middle schools since fiscal 2007. In fiscal 2008, Mr. Amemiya gave a speech for Tamina Elementary School and Tamina Junior High School in Okinoerabujima island on May 19, and at Kita Junior High School in Miyakojima island on May 21, and at Ishigaki Junior High School in Ishigakijima island on May 23.

In addition, responding to a request from the Okinawa Occupational Ability Development Promotion Center, they accepted two students as interns in fiscal 2008. The students experienced the operation and maintenance of construction and industrial machinery.
They will contribute to the local communities through various activities.
