Compliance training at premises

Hitachi Construction Machinery Operators Training Center issues certificates such as a certificate of completion of operating skills courses, as a training institute registered with the Bureau of Labor. Paying due attention to the matter of compliance is important as a matter of course because of their business features, and the possibility of any breach of compliance is one of the most serious risks. Therefore, they regularly provide training in compliance.

In fiscal 2008, they provided training sessions on compliance at thirteen premises nationwide between the months of November to February, in collaboration with our Compliance Promotion Department. The total number of employees who attended the compliance training has reached 196, because contracted teachers were obliged to attend the training.

In the compliance training, they reported the results of a questionnaire survey into compliance that was carried out in fiscal 2007 and explained examples of breaches and matters requiring special attention in daily work. They also explained the "Kenkijin spirit" as a teaching Kenkijin, which is their typical business to urge their employees to understand the golden rule as teachers. By abiding with the golden rules, they will ensure compliance and meet social expectations including conforming with ethics.
