Accepting trainees from Indonesia
Hitachi Construction Machinery Camino has so far accepted four groups of sixteen trainees who came to Japan under the technology training program of the Association for International Manpower Development of Medium and Small Enterprises, Japan. The training program extends over three years: one year of learning Japanese and then two years of welding training.
Currently, eight people of the third and fourth groups are receiving training. The trainees of the second group went back to Indonesia in September 2008. Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia employed the first group of trainees who returned in 2007. Unfortunately, Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia could not immediately hire the trainees in the second group because of a sudden and drastic change in economic conditions, but the company keeps their addresses on file so that they can be contacted when the company hires employees next time.
Although Hitachi Construction Machinery Indonesia could not employ the trainees in fiscal 2008, Hitachi Construction Machinery Camino will continue to cooperate in the technology training program for people from Indonesia as part of their international contributions.
