Supporting the event of Bikewise, motorbike traffic safety campaign as a sponsor
Durham police station located at near HM Plant has been conducting traffic safety campaign called Bikewise since 1995. They hold the event of Bikewise for family as a part of the campaign in cooperation with the county council. They also have set up mini motorcycle club for children, and built up a environment where children are familiar with motorbikes. Though these activities, the casualty by motorbike accident has dropped dramatically.

The Bikewise event was held at Durham police station on July 27, 2008. There were many attractions such as HM Plant Honda Racing Team rider appearance, stunt show, motorbike trial, live band. HM Plant supports this event as a part of the contribution to local communities and urges employees to participate in the event with family.
About 15,000 people including motorbike riders and local people visited the event site on the day. Everyone is happy with taking a picture with the rider and getting the rider's autograph. HM Plant's employees enjoyed the event with families.
In addition, this event was selected the best traffic safety event in the magazine "Highways".
