Running Hitachi Technical School
In September 2007, Hitachi Construction Machinery (China) (referred to as HCMC below) established the Hitachi Technical School in collaboration with vocational training schools. The aim of establishing this school is developing human resources in engineering together with the local community. Students who achieve good results will be employed by HCMC, Hefei Rijian Shearing and associated companies, thereby promoting employment in the community.

Hitachi Technical School comprises a three-story building that accommodates the educational facilities, a single-story building that has eleven classrooms and six offices, a running track, a basketball court and other sports facilities, and a cafeteria. The capacity of the school is 600 students; the cafeteria seats 300 students. First-year students who achieve good results at the Anhui Technical School or the Hefei Electrical Engineering School, which have tied up with HCMC, can enroll at the Hitachi Technical School. The school offers six exclusive study courses, namely welding, machining, painting, assembly, plate cutting, and distribution. In the first year, the students study basics such as fundamental studies, safety, quality, drawings, discipline, and assembly, and have practical training. In the second year the students have training at HCMC's production site. HCMC's employees and teachers from vocational training schools that tie up with HCMC conduct the teaching at the school.
