Component recycling business
Our group operates a component recycling business with the understanding that the recycling of components contributes to conserving the environment. In fiscal 2008, our group enhanced the business by increasing the range of components that can be recycled and by expanding the business outside Japan.
In Japan, our group extended the range of components to be recycled by including the recycling of the components of wheel loaders and road-making machinery in addition to the components of hydraulic excavators, and improved engine recycling conditions. Outside Japan our group has set up recycling plants in Indonesia and other countries, and set up a new recycling plant in Malaysia in fiscal 2008. Our group made efforts to raise the quality of recycled components by holding study meetings locally for recycling companies. The whole of our group will continue to improve the component recycling business in order to assist in conserving the environment.
