State of establishing environmental management systems
We consider that establishing environmental management systems is an important matter concerning activities to conserve the environment. With this concept, Tsuchiura Works, one of our factories, acquired ISO14001 certification in 1997 and has been implementing the system since then. We recommend our group companies in Japan and outside Japan to establish an environmental management system to raise the level of environmental conservation activities of our group as a whole. If our factory acquires the certification, any group companies using the factory are subject to the certification. In fiscal 2008, the head office of TCM acquired ISO14001 certification. Ten sales and service officers established an environmental management system. Not only the factories, but also the sales and services premises will strive to establish an environmental management system.
