GREEN 21 Activity

We conduct environmental conservation activities based on the results of self-assessments on the eight items of assessment of GREEN 21 ver. 3, which are shown below.

In fiscal 2008, our group obtained 1,079 GP (green points), which exceeded its target for the year of 1,024 GP, as shown in the following table. The points obtained for all of the eight items in fiscal 2008 exceeded the points obtained in fiscal 2007. Particularly (2) eco-mind, (3) eco-products and (7) eco-factories( resource recycling), of our group significantly improved, owing to efforts made by the entire group. On the other hand, (4) eco-products/ green procurement, and (6) eco-factories(reducing global warming) are in need of much more improvement, although the number of points obtained for the items for fiscal 2008 was greater than the number for fiscal 2007. These results were due to insufficient efforts by the entire group. Our group target for fiscal 2009 is 1,152 GP, which will be achieved by working on the weak items stated above and by further enhancing the strong items.
