Employment security and creation is the most fundamental corporate social responsibility. For this purpose, it is necessary to secure and raise sales and profit. We achieved good results in fiscal 2007 because of strong demand for construction machinery. As of March 31, 2008, the number of our employee was 3,529 on the non-consolidated base, 16,117 on the consolidated base. Compared with March 31, 2007, the payroll grew by 218 on the non-consolidated base, and 1,845 on the consolidated base.

In addition to the above, our group is making efforts to expand employment opportunities considering diversity by employing more impaired people, introducing a senior employee system and employing foreigners.
