Revisions of regulations to prevent technical information outflow
In order to continuously provide services to their customers, companies must have an appropriate profit, and to achieve this, original technology is one of the important factors. From this viewpoint, the protection of technology is a vital issue. Diverse business tie-ups are being agreed in the construction machinery industry under the circumstances of active globalization of the economy, so the risk of technical information outflow is increasing.
We are endeavoring to prevent technical information outflow because of the reasons stated above by establishing regulations to prevent technical information outflow when transferring technical information to the outside of Japan. These regulations stipulate the method to be used for the transfer of the technical information for each company to suit the circumstances of each respective company. In fiscal 2008 there were changes in the risks of technical information outflow at associated companies. So we revised the regulations to respond to such changes, and these steps included the tightening of the approval for the provision of 3-D drawings in order to reduce the risks of technical information outflow. We will continue to revise the regulations to prevent technical information outflow responding to each and every change in the conditions.
