Holding the Service Mechanic Competition 2009

We held the Service Mechanic Competition 2009 at the Technical Training Center for 2 days on June 10 and 11. This is the 8th competition this year and we changed the name of competition from the Service Skills Contest as part of globalization of our business.

Competitors and persons involved

In this competition we give the best competitor the title of MVS(Most Valuable Service) by judging the ability of competitors from the standpoint of repair skills, handling ability at site, and reporting ability through 3 contests of paper test, skill test and report test.

Five competitors selected as the representative of each region took part in the competition, and we conducted the paper test on 10th, and the skill test on 11th. The competitors performed the trouble shooting struggling with the hydraulic excavator ZX200-3 which was set not to start the engine. Unfortunately it was raining on the day, but competitors proceeded the process in an appropriate manner considering safety.

In the report test later, we evaluated the competitors if they could report what happened at the site to their boss in an appropriate and simple manner. The competitors passed on the information steadily according to the reporting process, getting to the point.

The impression of Mr. Shao Yang

I feel grateful to have a chance to come to Japan for the first time. I'm sure our sales company will get a profit by supplying customers with good service through our team work and efforts instead of an individual effort. I was happy with experiencing the process of the competition.
