Russian business people visit the head office

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has set up seven Japan Centers in the Russian Federation since 1994 to support reform of the market economy in Russia. The Japan Centers provide various business-related classes and technical support to raise people capable of playing an important role in the Russian economy and in the financial relationship between Russia and Japan in the future. As part of the technical support for Russia, a trip to study construction and transportation machinery (the far eastern division) in Japan took place in February. Company owners and managers from Sakhalin Oblast, Vladivostock and Khabarovsk selected from firms in construction and transportation machinery business were invited to participate in the trip to Japan. On February 12, twenty of the trainees from Russia visited our head office to learn about the company.

Commemoration photo with trainees from Russia

To enhance the economic relationship between Japan and Russia, we first showed a DVD in Russian for the trainees to learn our outline and to deepen their understanding of the construction machinery business. Then we discussed the construction machinery business with the trainees. During the discussion, they asked many questions related to business in the Russian Far East, and we could share knowledge and information of the construction machinery business. We believe the visit was very instructive to them.
