Holding the FY 2009 workshop for production streamlining

It is increasingly important to streamline the production and cut costs to improve customer satisfaction continuously delivering appropriate profits since the competition is tough and global. So we hold a workshop for production streamlining every year.

In FY 2009, we held it at the convention hall of Tsuchiura Works on June 4. Production Engineering Center, Technical Research Center and group companies (TCM, Hitachi Construction Machinery Tierra, and Hitachi Construction Machinery Camino) gave 7 presentations, 1 presentation and 3 presentations respectively, in total 13 presentations. The number of presentation was the maximum in the past, 5 more than last year when it was 8. So the workshop was very big. Besides their contents were comprehensive including the construction of Hitachinaka-Rinko Works and the reorganization of plate work line at Tsuchiura Works which cover plate work, machining, assembly, painting, production systems and new technologies, and there was an active exchange of opinions during question-and-answer session.

We will continue to make an effort to improve customer satisfaction by sharing the information about production streamlining at this workshop and improving productivity.
