Displaying at the Exhibition and Demonstration of Machinery for Forests, Forestry and Environment

The Exhibition and Demonstration of Machinery for Forests, Forestry and the Environment 2008 was held on October 26 and 27 in Imabari Shintoshin Zone 2 in Ehime Prefecture. The exhibition attracted 8,000 people, and more than 1,000 of these visited our site. The venue was full of visitors.

Our site with lots of visitors

At our site, we demonstrated the process from collecting felled trees to making chips from the timber using the machines exhibited. The Super Long Reachman ZX130MT (exhibited by Marujun Engineering) picked up felled trees; the hydraulic excavator ZX135US-3 (with processor) lopped off branches and cut trunks; the hydraulic excavator ZX75US-3 (with grapple) put the cut wood into the track mounted wood grinder ZR125HC to produce the chips. The demonstration was popular.

We also demonstrated the wood chipper ZR30FC, the mini loader ML45 (trial model exhibited by Hitachi Construction Machinery Tierra), and the forklift FD25T with hinged fork (exhibited by TCM).

Inside the tent we presented our carbon offset activity by forestry machinery with CO2 emission credit using a panel.

Although this exhibition was for business, pupils from local elementary schools, junior high schools and high schools also visited our site as part of their extracurricular studies. One elementary school pupil happily commented, "It's interesting because there are lots of machines I've never seen before." Another said, "I want to try to make a machine like this," while trying out the driver's seat in a hydraulic excavator with great enthusiasm. It was pleasing that our exhibition and demonstrations were also helpful to the education of local children.
