More thorough compliance in the entire group
Hitachi Construction Machinery Group has improved its internal systems and raised the awareness of the employees through education, to ensure compliance with the law, which is the basic requirement of a corporate member of society. In November 2008, the section responsible was reorganized and renamed as the Compliance & Risk Management Division to ensure tighter compliance and to strengthen risk management. We will make even further efforts to detect and prevent any problems and to implement any necessary measures.
Compliance education for the entire Hitachi Construction Machinery Group
The Hitachi Construction Machinery Group believes that the first priority should be compliance with the law in order for us to contribute to society through our business. Therefore, it is important for the employees who perform that business to have a complete understanding of compliance.
The Hitachi Construction Machinery Group is making efforts in education to raise the awareness of employees concerning compliance. In order to raise Hitachi Construction Machinery Group employees' awareness of compliance in Japan, Hitachi Construction Machinery provides education for managers, conducts surveys using questionnaires submitted to all employees, and arranges employee education according to the questionnaires' results. The purpose of such activities are not only to reveal and solve problems relating to compliance at each of the Group's companies, but also to enable the companies to raise their employees' awareness of compliance and to ensure compliance independently.
Compliance education at TCM
Compliance education has been provided to all of the employees of Hitachi Construction Machinery and the Group companies in Japan since fiscal 2006. We are planning to provide compliance education to overseas companies in the Group in accordance with the results of the surveys.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Group will continue to endeavor to ensure thorough compliance and to raise consciousness of ethical business practices.
