Demining equipment exhibition at African Festa 2008

For five days from May 28 to June 1, African Festa 2008 took place in Yokohama during the 4th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 4). We exhibited the latest-model demining equipment and presented our group activities for demining at the event.

The event attracted 46,000 visitors including people with some link with Africa. The public and the representatives of African countries visited our booth and made various comments such as "I didn't know anything about demining equipment" and I've seen demining equipment on TV". The demining equipment attracted a lot of interest, and people enjoyed watching a video showing our activities for demining. Prime Minister Fukuda visited our booth and sat in the operator's seat of the demining equipment.

At the TICAD 4 symposium we presented our CSR activities and vigorously discussed the best kind of CSR activities in Africa with major Japanese firms such as Toyota Motor and Sony.
