Participating the 8th Fruit Kingdom Higashine Cherry Marathon event
The 8th Fruit Kingdom Higashine Cherry Marathon event was held by Higashine City on June 7. This event consists of 4 kinds of race, a 3 km race, a 5 km race, a 10 km race and half marathon. The best feature of the event is running the course where cherries shine ruby red. It was cloudy on the day, but 8,371 runners from the inside or outside of Yamagata prefecture, 1,700 more runners than last year, participated the event, thanks to the special guest such as Mr. Toshihiko Seko and Ms. Masako Chiba who are retired to be famous runners. Thus the event became big.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Camino is a local company of Higasine City. So they urge their employees to take part in the event as volunteers, as part of their contribution to local communities. This year 10 runners including Mr. Hosono, their president, took part in the event as well as 7 employees as volunteers. Their runners raced through a road along fruit farm, wearing the uniforms of Hi-OSS, our environmental product brand, and appealed our environmental product. They will continue to take part in the event as part of their contribution to local communities.
