Construction machinery high school student study meeting

Yamanashi Hitachi Construction Machinery held a construction machinery study meeting at Yamanashi Prefectural Agriculture and Forestry High School on December 10, 2008. Established over a hundred years ago, this is one of the oldest schools in the prefecture. They held the study meeting for 29 first-grade students of the environment and civil engineering course in response to a request from the school, with the aims of deepening the understanding of routine study, providing an opportunity for them to think about their future careers, and raising people capable of becoming guardians of local industry.

On the day, with the cooperation of our East Japan Division service department staff, they first learned about excavators and other construction machinery by watching videos, etc. After that, they learned about the structure and how to operate machines, using the ZX200-3 hydraulic excavator and the ZW140 wheel loader in the grounds. They listened earnestly to explanations of the machines, which they may have seen before, but have never touched. Our environmentally friendly products were also introduced. The construction machinery study meeting that lasted the whole morning ended successfully. After the study meeting ended, the school expressed great gratitude for the cooperation of Yamanashi Hitachi Construction Machinery.
