Hosting Okazaki elementary school pupils social study trip
Our West Japan Division's Mikawa sales office hosted a social study trip of ten Okazaki Municipal Mutsumi Chubu Elementary School second-graders on November 27. After an explanation of our company, and a tour of the factory, the pupils tried out a mini excavator.
At the factory, in a state of intense interest in the big excavators, the children listened diligently to an explanation of hydraulic excavators. After sketching an excavator, the children tried out a mni excavator. The children enjoyed themselves very much and finished their social study trip with happy faces.

Later, the ten children on the social study trip sent letters of thanks to the sales office. All of these were heartwarming and nicely colored with color pencils; four can be seen, below. The main impression they wrote was "When I grow up, I want to work at Hitachi Construction Machinery"
