West Japan Division accepts junior high school pupils for work experience
West Japan Division accepted five second-grade pupils of the Kyoto, Oyamazaki Municipal Oyamazaki Junior High School, which is in the neighborhood of the West Japan Division office, for two days of work experience on November 6 and 7, as part of our efforts to contribute to society. The students learned about happiness and hardship at work, and the significance and the role of work in society, by receiving explanations of our products and business, by experiencing drawing using CAD and by operating a small excavator at the Kyoto Training Center of Hitachi Construction Machinery Operators Training Center.

Experiencing operating a small excavator
We introduced part of our CSR activities to the pupils by showing them a video about the activities for demining. They were very interested and said they were beginning to know what they wanted to do in the future. Finally we provided them with the mini excavator operating experience. It was a little bit difficult for them to operate it at first, but they enjoyed its operation and completed the work experience session with smiles.
