Holding the lecture presentation about compliance and risk
We held the lecture presentation about compliance and risk for the responsible persons of each department on June 12. The lecturer was Mr. Daigoro Shiraki who is the representative of Corporate Risk Research Institute. He made a presentation titled "Corporate management and risk management" focusing the thorough awareness of compliance and the role of managers.
Lecture presentation
The presentation started with the explanation of the change in risk environment with regard to companies, which includes the change in the cause of risks such as globalization of economy and IT technology progress, and diversified risks such as whistle-blowing, information leak, financial crisis, etc. He also explained about the recent risk occurrence examples at companies and public offices, the recent tendency and measures about business responsibility, the measures in case of risk occurrence, and compliance management at workplaces plainly, using the slogans and satirical haiku.

After he read loud 50 selections of satirical haiku and slogans about risk and compliance at last, he closed his presentation with satirical haiku about divorce prevention for corporate soldiers in a relaxed atmosphere, even though his presentation theme was very serious.
From now on, we will recognize the role as managers and enhance risk management ensuring the awareness of compliance at workplaces based on what we learned from this presentation. In addition, our executives including Mr. Kikawa, our president, attended at the lecture presentation, and renewed the awareness about business management and risk management.
