Setting up an export control system and regulations for group companies
Among our group companies in Japan TCM and Hitachi Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Crane have their own export control regulations, while the other six group companies in Japan and our 28 group companies outside Japan have been using our export control regulations. From the latter half of fiscal 2007, we started setting up export control regulations of our group companies. We have set up regulations of our six group companies in Japan, including Hitachi Construction Machinery Tierra and Hitachi Kenki Logistics Technology.
Our group companies have established export control systems by setting up export control committees. They set up export control regulations in each country based on our regulations.
In fiscal 2008, Hitachi Construction Machinery Trading and Yamanashi Hitachi Construction Machinery set up export control regulations, so that now all eight of our group companies in Japan that export products have their own export control regulations. All of our 28 companies outside Japan have also set up export control regulations. Our group companies will manage exports with their own systems and regulations from now on.
