Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd. Announces Organisational Structure Change
“David Harvey, COO, will become Managing Director, effective 1st April 2011 while Shogo Yokoyama, current CEO, will become Regional General Manager – Asia Pacific for HCM however will continue as Chairman and non resident Director of HCA.
Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd (HCA) has announced organisational structure changes and new appointments effective the 1st April, 2011.
After four years in Australia Shogo Yokoyama will leave the position of Chief Executive Officer at HCA to take up the role of Regional General Manager – Asia Pacific (HCM) based in Singapore however will continue as Chairman and non resident Director of HCA.
David Harvey will be promoted to the position of Managing Director, HCA. David began his career in the industry with Cableprice New Zealand in 1987 holding a number of roles through to joining the then MCME in early 1995. When HCM acquired controlling interest in the company in 1999 David was appointed as a Director at the time. Over the years David has gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of the business and for the last two years has held the position of Chief Operating Officer.
Hidemi (Eddie) Murata will join HCA from HCM in the dual role of Deputy Managing Director and Sales Director. Having worked for HCM since 1986 in the Overseas Department Eddie has vast international experience including being here at (MCME) HCA from 1994 to 2000 and also as Vice President of Hitachi Southern Africa (HCSA) from 2004 to 2008. Since that time Eddie has been the General Manager, Europe and Africa Sales Department based in Tokyo.
The current GMC Brisbane will be restructured. The staff will transfer under the HCA umbrella operating as an “International Operations" group. Their primary responsibility will be to assist dealers other than HCA with sales and marketing support to strengthen the HCM mining business as well as the alliances with global companies. HCA will manage this group on a day to day basis.
The HCM Engineering Group will remain in their current Murarrie location while continuing their work to support all HCM Dealers and will remain reporting directly to HCM Product Support and Engineering.
