Mining/Quarry
Since Hitachi introduced the UH801 mining shovel in 1979, we have delivered more than 400 units of mining excavators (over 150 tons) to all parts of the world. Today, Hitachi mining excavators are one of the strongest brand names in the Mining Industry.
Introduction

Why do our customers choose Hitachi? There are five reasons and benefits.
- High availability
- Low operating cost
- Better fuel economy
- Better flexibility
- Lower maintenance requirements
There are two key phrases: "Hitachi’s Design Philosophy", and the other is "Mutual Trust".
The "Hitachi’s Design Philosophy" is to design equipment in accordance with the following objectives: high reliability and high performance, and fulfilling our customers’ requirements for high productivity at low operating cost.
"Mutual Trust" is, to achieve a Win-Win-Win situation with our customers, Hitachi dealers and Hitachi. To achieve this, we maintain a long-term business partnership with the customer, and establish a joint task force ( "Let's walk together" sprit) to minimize unexpected downtime and reduce operating costs (such as maintenance & repair).
Of course, we are always considering our customers' views and needs, and reviewing equipment performance in various mining applications. To achieve a closer working relationship with our customers, in July 2003, Hitachi established the Global Mining Center (GMC) in North America.

Today, Hitachi is not only an excavator supplier, but also a supplier of rigid dump trucks that are based upon Euclid's experience and Hitachi's keywords and philosophy.
The current range of Hitachi hydraulic mining shovels/backhoes and Hitachi (Former Euclid-Hitachi) mining rigid frame dump trucks have been backed by Hitachi's most dynamic and responsive service and support network worldwide. If you have any questions, please contact your nearest Branch.
