Blair Nicholson works as an operator with pool excavators and general contractors KFH GT Pty Ltd. With over eighteen years as an operator under his belt, he’s as experienced as they come - he first drove a skid steer when he was four years old!

Now running a Zaxis 60USB, Blair is blown away by the speed and power of the Hitachi mini. He summed up the Hitachi in two words - he called it “awesome grunt”. Blair rates the Hitachi above all the other machinery he’s had experience operating, including many of the other major brands.

The photo above was taken from a pool excavation being done at a suburban home in Birkdale, Queensland. When asked if the ZX60USB met his requirements in the field, he stated, “yes -and more”. As pool excavations can often run into rock and other hard materials, Blair told us the power of the Hitachi has been awesome, saving him time and money by achieving results quicker and more efficiently than other machines on the market.

So will he buy Hitachi again? “Only Hitachi. Or it would certainly be the first I look at”. Blair is so satisfied with the ZX60USB that he doesn’t just recommend it to others - he boasts about it!
